Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. They are committed to ending homelessness across the UK, for good.

Lloyds Banking Group and Crisis have been working in partnership since 2023 with colleagues dedicating thousands of hours to fundraising, volunteering and advocating for an end to homelessness across the UK.

Through the first two years of the partnership, Crisis and Lloyds Banking Group worked together to launch Good Place Lettings (a social lettings agency), to expand the Changing Lives Programme and to build a community of advocates for an end to homelessness.

As this partnership extends into 2025 and 2026, colleague fundraising will continue to turbocharge the Changing Lives Programme allowing more individuals to access grants, and growing the reach of the programme by working with foundation partners (other homelessness charities connect through the Lloyds Foundation).

The partnership also supports key services delivered from Crisis’ nine Skylight centres through funding, colleague volunteering and pro bono work. These centres are the heart of Crisis’ work with individuals experiencing homelessness, from offering a warm welcome, to working with someone to secure a safe place to live.

You will be helping people like John.

“I was walking up Edinburgh’s Royal Mile one day when I saw Crisis’ logo which I remembered from being a teenager.” It was that day when John walked into Crisis and asked to speak to someone to help his situation. John was seen that week by Amanda, an Engagement and Assessment Worker at Crisis. “That meeting changed my life.”

Alongside supporting John with his living situation, Crisis matched him with James, a Strengths and Assets Coach, to help him explore his future aspirations. James introduced John to the Changing Lives Programme.

John was encouraged to apply for an initial grant to complete a Housing Rights Awareness course. “I started to understand the legal and structural landscape of homelessness and I became fascinated with the policies and priorities around it.”

“My confidence and health started to come back, and the trauma started to fade into the background. I realised I could turn everything around.”

“I had the opportunity to apply for a second Changing Lives grant to apply for the diploma. Because of my grant, I’m now learning about the mechanisms of homelessness alongside other individuals with a vested interest in this space, to pursue my dreams of working in homelessness and housing. Through the course, I’m soon to complete an internship with a relevant organisation and will enter into this sector.”
